VA Benefits - House Bound Benefit

The first of two pensions is the House-Bound benefit. In order to receive the House-Bound benefit, the veteran must be totally and permanently disabled and be permanently housebound. The veteran is entitled to House-Bound benefits if:

(1) the veteran has a disability with a VA disability rating of 100% and the veteran is substantially confined to the home, or

(2) the veteran has a disability with a VA disability rating of 100% and an additional disability independently rated at 60% or more, regardless if the veteran is house bound.
