Motor Vehicles
In Texas, each person may exempt $30,000 of equity in motor vehicles with spouses being able to protect up to $60,000 of equity in motor vehicles.
Kansas allows each person to exempt $20,000 of equity in 1 motor vehicle with spouses being able to stack their exemptions to protect up to $40,000 of equity in 1 motor vehicle or use them separately.
Oklahoma and Missouri allow each person to exempt $7,500 and $3,000 of equity in 1 motor vehicle, respectively. As in other states, spouses may stack their exemptions to protect up to $15,000 and $6,000 of equity in 1 motor vehicle; respectively, or they may use their exemptions separately.
