In Missouri, an individual may fully exempt worker’s compensation benefits; and to the extent necessary for support, the right to receive or property that is traceable to a payment on account of the wrongful death of an individual of whom the individual was a dependent.

However, in Oklahoma, worker’s compensation benefits are fully exempt while claims for personal bodily injury are exempt only up to $50,000.

Both Kansas and Texas only exempt worker’s compensation benefits. They do not provide any exception for claims for bodily injury or death.
